Introduction
So here we are on one of the least exciting pages on the site. Believe me I know, I wrote it. However what I’d like to do is put aside the usual legal jargon, which I’m sure you’ll agree, neither of us would bother reading. And I’d simply like to describe in plain english what I commit to deliver as the owner of woodworkmatters.co.uk. And in turn what I ask of you as a user of the website. Sound fair? Ok let’s do this. First thing to note is that if you continue to use this website, you are agreeing to comply with the following terms of use.
The term ‘Woodwork Matters’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to me as the owner of the website. The term ‘you’ refers to, well, you. Or in other words the user or viewer of our website.
My commitments
The content of the pages of this website is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice.
This website uses cookies to monitor browsing preferences. Please read the cookie policy if you’d like to know more. And if you’re wondering why I’m suddenly talking about baked goods, then I highly recommend you head over there asap.
The purpose of this website is to:
– provide general information about woodwork.
– encourage my visitors to be creative with their old furniture and scraps of wood.
– showcase my product portfolio.
– sell those products to anyone who likes my work.
I commit to the provision of high quality, hand-crafted products, which match the information and imagery displayed on the website. By law, you have the right to a certain quality of service, and ways to fix problems if things go wrong. These terms don’t limit or take away any of those rights. For example, if you’re a consumer, then you continue to enjoy all legal rights granted to consumers under applicable law.
I strive to provide an efficient delivery and returns service, as outlined on the delivery & returns page. Although parts of this process are outside of my control, if this service is not satisfactory then I will endeavour to support you in finding a resolution.
I commit to working in a sustainable way. Using reclaimed wood where possible. Partnering with environmentally conscious providers. Avoiding single use plastics and reusing or recycling the majority of my waste materials. I have no shame in admitting that many of my materials come from skips, dustbins and recycling centres, and I take pride in removing wood from landfill and turning it into something unique and amazing.
