Wooden storage box

A solid wood box, handmade with care and attention. This could be used as a trinket box, keepsake box or for general storage of small items.

The box sides are made from oak, and the lid is a mixture of oak and sapele which gives a lovely contrast of colours and beautiful grain pattern. Wooden splines have been used on the corner joints for added strength and a decorative effect. The box has been thoroughly sanded for an incredibly smooth feel. It has been finished with mineral oil which gives it a soft sheen. The bottom of the box is a floating base made from plywood. This is important as it allows the natural movement of the oak and sapele, and ensures the box will not warp over time with changes in temperature and humidity.

The box can be personalised with a laser engraved name or message of your choice. Please contact me prior to purchase so that we can check for suitability
