Square dining table

An upcycled square dining table, made from birch wood which is naturally very strong and durable. This dining table will comfortably accommodate 4 people, and is ideal for smaller homes with limited space.

The legs have been painted in matt black, to match the black knots on the table top. They have then been waxed for extra protection and a soft, subtle sheen. The wooden surface has been sanded back to bare wood and then coated in 3 layers of polyurethane varnish which is heat resistant and very tough.

This dining table is approx 10 years old, and as expected the top surface shows signs of its previous life. There are multiple indentations which you can feel as you run your hand across it, but this doesn’t affect the beauty of the piece. It actually adds a touch of warmth and character, as well as a nice tactile feel. With the new finish it looks amazing.
